This is one movie that both horror fans and fans of the game series are excited about. Coming from Blumhouse, Five Nights at Freddy’s has officially been rated PG-13 for Strong Violent Content, Bloody Images, and Language. This movie adaptation is based on the video game series of the same name. It became an instant hit among fans who enjoy horror games. It has spawned a total of 13 games including spinoffs. The games are best well-known for their terrifying jump scares and creepy atmospheres.
The movie’s story will follow “a troubled security guard begins working at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. While spending his first night on the job, he realizes the night shift at Freddy’s won’t be so easy to make it through.”
Emma Tammi (The Wind, Delivered) is directing the film and the story is written by Seth Cuddeback, Scott Cawthon, and Emma Tammi. The film is set to star Matthew Lillard (Scream, Scooby-Doo) as William Afton. It stars Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games, Journey to the Center of the Earth), Elizabeth Lail (Countdown, Once Upon a Time), Piper Rubio (Crater, Holly and Ivy), and Mary Stuart Masterson (Some Kind of Wonderful, Fried Green Tomatoes). Also, famous YouTuber CoryxKenshin will be making a cameo.
