The Witcher Season two only just arrived on Netflix a week ago and already it is trending on Netflix’s number one spot. The series, based on the books by Andrzej Sapkowski, has been a major hit since it’s season one debut. Henry Cavill has brilliantly taken on the role of Geralt of Rivia and has also managed to win over fans approval.

That number one spot isn’t sitting in the slouch department either. It has managed to gather a total of 142.43 million hours of fans streaming the series.

The series of books had previously spawned a trilogy of popular RPG games. The Netflix series has given both the books and the video games a second life with the resurgence of popularity.

The synopsis for The Witcher goes like this:

The Witcher follows the story of Geralt of Rivia, a solitary monster hunter, who struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than monsters and beasts. … Geralt of Rivia is a witcher, a mutant with special powers who kills monsters for money.

The Witcher season two is now playing on Netflix.
