From the guitar-strumming doom cords throughout, and the ambiguousness of whether this is a possession movie or a spawn of Satan thriller, The First Omen trailer doesn’t let us in on much. This is a good thing since trailers so often spoil the best parts.

One thing we can say is that with its art style and camera direction this looks pretty good. Stylistically, it feels like an homage to the 1999 movie Stigmata without the spontaneous bloodletting.

In reality, the film follows, “A young American woman sent to Rome to begin a life of service to the church, but encounters a darkness that causes her to question her faith and uncovers a terrifying conspiracy that hopes to bring about the birth of evil incarnate.”

Tell us what you think and if you will be watching it in the theater or wait for it to stream?
