This reboot/sequel of the original 1973 classic is sure to have people talking. David Gordon Green (Halloween Trilogy) is helping restart this classic franchise and directing the first film to turn into a trilogy. This new film titled The Exorcist: Believer is coming from Blumhouse, Morgan Creek Entertainment, and Universal. It is set to be released in theaters on October 13th of this year. 3 new posters were revealed this morning; you can check them out below.
While not much is known about this film’s plot, we do know that this movie is a direct sequel to the first original 1973 film The Exorcist. It ignores all the sequels and prequels, like how the new Halloween films did. We do know the story follows 2 parents seeking help when their daughters show signs of demonic possession. A trailer for the film should be released soon.
This film will also be bringing back characters from the original film. It will be bringing back Linda Blair (The Exorcist, The Exorcist II: The Heretic) to reprise her role as Regan MacNeil and Ellen Burstyn (The Exorcist, Interstellar) to reprise her role as Chris MacNeil.

These posters capture the creepiness of the original film. This film should be good with some of the original cast and big studios behind it. Are you excited about this new film? Let us know in the comments below.
