Retro Jurassic Park Games Being Reanimated for New Consoles

Published

on

Jurassic Park is being brought back from the dead again. This time in the form of its original two games, Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park 2: The Chaos Continues. Limited Run Games has decided to resurrect these two classic games, bringing them to both consoles and PC.

To be clear, these are not full HD updates of the games. They have added a few quality-of-life fixes, such as new-in game maps. Limited Run Games is making a name for itself in the video game world as a type of necromancer, bringing the games back to life so to speak. OK, I’ll stop with the re-animation jokes.

Jurassic Park Classic

These updated Jurassic Park games will be available for pre-order on September 1 and will be available through October 15. They will be released in various package deals depending on what you are looking for.

Jurassic Park Classic

I know that I have complained in the past about nostalgia farming, but I am completely on board with this approach. I just hope that one day we get to see a really horrific version of Jurassic Park the way that Michael Crichton (Sphere) intended.

As always, make sure to check back here for updates and all of your horror news.

‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III’s’ Zombie Trailer Introduces an Open-World and Operators

Published

on

Zombies

This marks the very first time that Zombies come to the world of Modern Warfare. And it looks like they are going all out and adding an entirely new experience to the gameplay.

The new zombies-based adventure will take place in big wide-open massive worlds similar to Modern Warfare II’s DMZ mode. It will also feature operators similar to those in Warzone. These operators combined with an open-world mechanics are sure to bring an entirely new experience to the classic zombies mode that fans are used to.

Zombies

Personally, I believe that this new update is exactly what the Zombies mode needed. It was due for something to mix it up and this is a very nice way to do it. DMZ mode was a lot of fun and I think that this will be the thing to shake up the world of zombies and get folks interested all over again.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III arrives November 10.

‘Mortal Kombat 1’ DLC Teases Big Horror Name

Published

on

Mortal Kombat 1 may have just been released but already creator of Mortal Kombat and Injustice, Ed Boon is making plans for exciting DLC. In one of Boon’s latest Tweets, he gave a huge tease that wasn’t very subtle in nature. But, it points to a big horror icon coming to to Mortal Kombat 1.

Boon’s Tweet was a black-and-white image of all the biggest horror icons. Each icon came with check marks over icons who have been previously added and question marks over the ones that hadn’t yet been added.

This leaves Pinhead, Chucky, Michael Myers, Billy, and Ghostface all with question marks. All of these characters would be cool editions to the latest title. Especially someone like Pinhead.

Earlier this year a data spill pointed to Ghostface appearing in an upcoming title. It looks like that upcoming title may have been Mortal Kombat 1. We will have to wait and see to find out for sure. But, including a Ghostface capable of performing all kills from the full franchise would be awesome. I can already picture a garage door kill.

Who would you like to see in the latest game? If you could only choose one, who would you think it was?

Megan Fox Set to Play Nitara in ‘Mortal Kombat 1’

Fox

Mortal Kombat 1 is shaping up to be an all-new experience that looks to transform the series into something new to fans. One of the surprises has been the casting of celebrities as the characters in the game. For one Jean Claude Van Damme is going to play Johnny Cage. Now, we know that Megan Fox is set to play Nitara in the game.

“She comes from this weird realm, she is a type of vampire creature,” Fox said. “She’s evil but she’s also good. She’s trying to save her people. I really like her. She’s a vampire which obviously resonates for whatever reason. It’s cool to be in the game, you know? Because I’m not really just voicing it, it’ll be like she’s kind of me.”

Fox grew up playing Mortal Kombat and is completely in shock that she is able to play a character from the game she was such a big fan of.

Nitara is a vampire character and after watching Jennifer’s Body it really does make for a nice crossover for Fox.

Fox will play Nitara in Mortal Kombat 1 when it releases on September 19.
