It centers around a woman who discovers a sinister force lurking in the woods. The film is set to debut in theaters and on VOD on February 22nd of this year. This psychological horror film follows the story of “Lennon, a ranger with a desire to rid herself of the past, who investigates a mystery in the woods with a history of disappearances. As she descends further into the forest the trees once again become a space where no one can hear you scream.“
The film first premiered at Canada’s Fantasia Film Festival and Toronto After Dark Film Festival. Film critic Nick Allen stated that “Lovely, Dark, and Deep” has a tight grip, cleverly reframing the woods as a new space in which no one can hear you scream.“
Lovely, Dark, And Deep is written and directed by Teresa Sutherland who is known for The Wind and Midnight Mass. The film features Georgina Campbell, who starred in the horror film Barbarian. It also stars Nick Blood, Wai Ching Ho, Edgar Morais, and many more.
