IT: Welcome to Derry is coming to Max. It’s a series that takes place in the fictional town of the title created by Stephen King in his best-selling horror novels.
We are getting our first official teaser today and we are loving it: “It will follow the events in the 1960s, the time leading up to the events of the first film in the Stephen King It series.”
The project was pushed back due to the writer’s strike, but now it’s on track to air.
Although the story revolves around Pennywise there are several other King references in the series.
Bill Skarsgard will return to his role as Pennywise for five episodes according to IMDb and the series is being helmed by Jason Fuchs, Andy Muschietti and Barbara Muschietti.
