Exclusive theatrical releases Last Night in Soho and Antlers made $4 million over Halloween weekend. The Guillermo produced and Scott Cooper directed, Antlers made $4,271,346 here in the states. While, Edgar Wright’s Last Night in Soho made $4,178,460 domestically and $6,502,460 worldwide.
That put the auteur directed films at 6th and 7th place at the box office. An incredible, bummer of a spot for the films. Of course, going against Halloween Kills over Halloween weekend wasn’t going to be an easy feat, but the placement for the two horror films isn’t where I would have placed them if we were giving them Vegas odds.
Halloween Kills also had the benefit of having a at home platform via Peacock rental. Neither Antlers nor Last Night in Soho had the any VOD options.
Look, y’all. Last Night in Soho is going in my top 5 of the year. Edgar Wright doesn’t let you down in any way. The film is elegant, electric and chilling. It’s an outstanding throwback to Italian cinema, and it proudly wears that Giallo influence on its sleeve. It’s an incredibly beautiful film with mesmerizing performances. I would love if, each you reading this would do me a huge favor and buy a ticket to Last Night in Soho, experience and come back and give me your reviews and comments on our Facebook or Twitter comments. It’s an outstanding film that deserves a bounce back this coming weekend. We can do it y’all!
Both films, would have benefited from an at home rental. However, Last Night in Soho deserves a huge screen to watch it on. It’s entirely cinematic and a film that will shock you from reel to reel.
Don’t forget to come back after watching Last Night in Soho this coming weekend and give me your reviews.

‘The Callisto Protocol’ Receives Six-Months of Season Pass Content
The Callisto Protocol has finally dropped and a lot of us have been enjoying the cold depths of hell and fighting off a terrifying new breed of villainous goodies. Of course, that also means that a lot of us blew right through the game with quickness. So, it may have left some of us wondering where a New Game+ was at. Luckily, the DLC coming out in February includes New Game+ as well as a hardcore mode. Rejoice!
This first bit of content is titled the Outer Way Skin Collection. This kicks off six months of DLC which should have a lot of us continuing our deep space journey. There will be a few ancillary bits of DLC that include things like new death animations and a permadeath mode.
The biggie arrives Summer 2023 with actual new story elements. We can’t wait to see where that story DLC takes us.
The synopsis for The Callisto Protocol goes like this:
It was directed by Glen Schofield, who had previously co-created the Dead Space series. The game’s story follows Jacob Lee (Josh Duhamel) who is sent to a prison facility set on the Jovian moon Callisto fighting against infected prisoners with an unknown disease while uncovering dark secrets of the facility.
The Callisto Protocol DLC begins its roll-out February 7.
‘Bambi: The Reckoning’ is Putting the Blood, Guts and Horror in the Classic
Director, Rhys Frake-Waterfield is on a warpath on childhood films. We have been seeing a trend of certain films like Winnie the Pooh, Peter Pan, and The Grinch get horror takes on them. Next up for the director, he has set Bambi in his sights. According to Dread Central Waterfield’s future project is Bambi: The Reckoning. He will act as a producer on this one with Scott Jeffrey directing.
Recently, Quentin Tarantino called Bambi one of the most terrifying movies made. He has a point. Disney’s original cartoon is seriously a traumatizing experience. It will be interesting to see what Waterfield does with his take. It would be great to see Bambi and her mom be able to get some revenge.
The synopsis for Disney’s original Bambi film went like this:
In this Disney classic a young deer named Bambi joins his new friends, a rabbit named Thumper and a skunk named Flower, in exploring his forest home. As a boy, he learns from his doting mother and his father, The Great Prince of the Forest, that there are dangers in the open meadows where hunters can spot the animals, and he meets a beautiful young doe named Faline. As Bambi grows up, he learns that there is tragedy as well as beauty and joy in his forest world and on the path to adulthood.
“The film will be an incredibly dark re-telling of the 1928 story we all know and love.” Jeffrey told Dread Central. “Finding inspiration from the design used in Netflix’s The Ritual, Bambi will be a vicious killing machine that lurks in the wilderness. Prepare for Bambi on rabies!”
Are you ready for a horror take on Bambi? We will be sure to keep you updated.
Mezco Toyz ‘Wednesday’ Figure is a Must Christmas Gift for Every and All Goths
Jenna Ortega and Wednesday have taken the holiday world by storm. The Tim Burton-directed series was filled with all kinds of special moments including the viral dance that Ortega did to the awesome sounds of The Cramps. Mezco Toyz has done all of us fans a giant favor by releasing a fantastic collector’s figure that includes Thing!
Mezco has done a really great job over the years with their very specific trademark design. We are really happy with the way that Wednesday turned out.
The synopsis for Wednesday goes like this:
“The series is a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy, where she attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the murder mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore.”
“LDD Presents Wednesday stands 10-inches tall and features 5x points of articulation. She is packaged in a window box, perfect for display.”
