Jagged Edge Productions announced not too long ago that Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey would be getting a sequel. Now, the movie is set to debut in February of this year. There is no trailer yet, but it is rumored to come out at the end of this month. That said, they have released 2 new first-look images from the film that tease what we are in store for. While little is known about the plot, what we know is that the film is set to follow the hundred-acre woods characters as they leave to wreak havoc on the small town of Ashdown and find Christopher Robin.
When the first film was originally announced, it stirred major controversy among people and major backlash. This didn’t seem to hurt the film as it made a total of over $5.2M on a super small budget of $100,000. This greenlit the sequel which the director announced would have at least 5 times the budget of the first film. The film is said to have 30+ kills and way more gore than the first film. It is also said that the costumes will look much better.
The film will be directed by Rhys Frake Waterfield who directed the first film. The film was written by Matt Leslie who is known for Summer of 84. The film will star Scott Chambers as Christopher Robin, Ryan Olivia as Winnie the Pooh, and many others.
This is one of many horror films centered around childhood characters that are set to be released this year.
