Wednesday dropped over the Thanksgiving holiday and it has been making all kinds of Netflix records. The show ends on a cliffhanger that indicates that the showrunners would like to have a second season. It appears that showrunner, Miles Millar has big plans to bring the rest of the Addams in on the action of a second semester at Nevermore Academy.
“We felt like we just touched the surface with those characters and the actors are so amazing in those roles,” Millar told TvLine. “Catherine is, I think, an iconic Morticia. The relationship between Wednesday and Morticia is also essential to the show, and the idea that Wednesday is trying to forge her own path outside the family is important.”
There hasn’t been any official renewal of the hit Netflix series, but with the kinds of numbers it stirred up over the holiday, I’m sure it is just a matter of time.
The real big question now would be if Tim Burton would come back again to lend his vision to a second season or not. Fingers crossed that he does.
