With the tagline, “Sticks and stones…words can hurt you,” how could you not be intrigued?

What happens when online bullying and harassment have gone too far? Who do you call to set things straight? Who can help you salvage your reputation or get you payback? The TROLL can help. This dark web show features four new students, and the Troll is here to teach them there are repercussions to their keyboard antics. Starring Bobby Cloud, Jace Smethurst, Leslie Pine, Lucie Campbell, and Peter Winkelmann, the new horror thriller Trolled is currently making its way through the festival circuit.

Cyberbullying can have profound psychological effects on the victim. Continuous harassment, public humiliation, and negative comments can lead to anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and suicidal ideation. The feeling of being constantly attacked, coupled with the inability to escape the online environment, can cause significant emotional trauma and long-lasting psychological scars. What if you could find someone to handle the bully and patch up your reputation? This film explores all of that.

Trolled is filled with uniqueness stemming from unconventional narrative structures, plot twists, and some thought-provoking themes, and the fact that this story can continue is icing on the cake.

I had the chance to speak with the two creators behind Trolled, John F. Uranday, and Bobby Cloud. We touch upon the rehearsing process, the conception of the film, the most challenging part of creating a dark web show, and cyberbullying.

We hope you enjoy!
