‘The Toxic Avenger’ Trailer #2 Puts Toxie Front & Center

Published

on

The new Toxic Avenger (2025) trailer is out and it looks fantastic!

We reviewed it for Fantastic Fest over a year ago. Here’s what we said.

The Toxic Avenger is a blast and full of Troma attitude. Macon Blair directs the hell out of this thing and makes the entire tidal wave of body parts and fun into an orchestra of gnarly punk rock good times. It is a perfect cross-pollination of  Lloyd Kaufman’s original monster and Blair’s updated Dinklage monster. The film is fueled by glopola, guts and great times. I can’t wait to watch it a thousand more times.”

Promo from YouTube: Are headaches keeping you down? Is stress making you look ugly and old? You don’t have to be pathetic! If you have a headache, reach for the brand that works the best, BTH, Bi-Toxiphetamine Hydroxylate. In 2025, the only real cure for migraines and headaches is The Toxic Avenger, ONLY in theaters on August 29th.

Samara Weaving and Kyle Gallner Star in Romantic Crime Thriller ‘Carolina Caroline’ [Trailer]

Published

on

A new trailer for Carolina Caroline has arrived, giving a first look at the romantic crime thriller led by Samara Weaving and Kyle Gallner. The film is already being described as one of the sexiest crime thrillers of the year, blending passion, danger, and a story that quickly spirals out of control.

The footage teases a volatile relationship between two outsiders who find themselves pulled into a life of crime. There’s a clear Bonnie-and-Clyde influence, but with a more grounded, indie feel. The trailer leans heavily into mood and chemistry, with Weaving and Gallner delivering a connection that feels intense, reckless, and unpredictable.

While Carolina Caroline isn’t a straight horror film, it carries strong genre appeal thanks to its leads. Weaving has built a loyal following with films like Ready or Not, while Gallner continues to pop up in some of the most interesting genre projects in recent years. Their pairing here gives the film an edge that should resonate with horror fans looking for something darker and character-driven.

The film is directed by Adam Carter Rehmeier, known for Dinner in America, and that same character-first approach appears to shape the tone here. Rather than focusing purely on crime, the story looks to center on the relationship itself and the consequences that come with it.

If you like your crime stories messy, seductive, and a little unhinged, Carolina Caroline looks like one to watch.

“It’s My Era. I’m a Rockstar Now.” The Official ‘The Vampire Lestat’ Trailer Is Here

Published

on

The Brat Prince has officially stepped into the spotlight!

AMC has released the long-awaited official trailer for The Vampire Lestat, the next chapter in Anne Rice’s ever-expanding Immortal Universe and it is every bit as chaotic, seductive, and electrifying as fans hoped. Set to premiere Sunday, June 7 on AMC and AMC+, the series shifts perspective, handing the narrative reins to Lestat himself as he reclaims his story in spectacular fashion.

And if the trailer makes one thing clear, it’s this: Lestat is back and louder than ever.

Soundtracking it all is Lestat’s own rendition of Billy Idol’s “Dancing With Myself,” performed by Sam Reid. It immediately sets the tone, with the song choice feeling like a mission statement for the season ahead.

Fans of Interview with the Vampire will recognize the shift from what they’ve known instantly. Where the first two seasons centered heavily on Louis’ grief and memory, The Vampire Lestat promises something even more volatile. This is Lestat forced to confront both his past and present at once — his trauma, his vanity, and his relentless need to be seen all colliding in a story that feels primed to deliver a constant emotional whiplash.

Sam Reid returns in the iconic role, bringing an even sharper edge to Lestat’s ego and vulnerability. He’s joined once again by Jacob Anderson, Assad Zaman, Eric Bogosian, Delainey Hayles, and Jennifer Ehle. The series is helmed by showrunner Rolin Jones and executive produced by Mark Johnson, Hannah Moscovitch, Christopher Rice, and the late Anne Rice.

Beyond the series itself, AMC is fully committing to Lestat’s musical takeover. The first two singles, “Long Face” and “All Fall Down,” are already available on major streaming platforms, featuring original music and lyrics by composer Daniel Hart and vocals performed by Reid.

If The Vampire Lestat delivers on even half of what this trailer promises, it won’t just be a continuation of the story — it will be a transformation of everything that came before. Bigger, louder, and far more dangerous, this is a version of Lestat who could just as easily become his own downfall as he could his own salvation.

The Vampire Lestat premieres June 7 at 9pm ET/PT on AMC and AMC+.

A full breakdown of the trailer is coming soon here on iHorror because there’s a lot to unpack.

The Evil Dead Burn Trailer Is Here and It Is Everything

Published

on

The teaser for Evil Dead Burn is attached to Lee Cronin’s The Mummy in theaters right now, which means you have to earn it. Go see The Mummy. You will probably enjoy that too.

Here is what we got. A young girl crawling across an apartment floor desperately trying to stay alive in a room with a Deadite. It is hard to tell, but the whole thing may be one continuous shot of her trying to get away from all of it. It is action packed, and it is gory, and ultraviolent in a way we have never seen in the franchise. For a teaser. That is a thesis statement. That is Sébastien Vaniček telling you exactly what kind of film this is going to be.

Evil Dead Burn opens July 10.

Why Vaniček Was the Right Call

The director is Sébastien Vaniček, who made Infested in 2023. Infested is a French spider horror film set entirely in a crumbling apartment building, and it is one of the better creature features of the last decade. It is relentless.

A single girl crawling across a dirty apartment floor with Deadites closing in is exactly the kind of scene Vaniček was built for. He does not need big spaces or big budgets. He needs a person, a threat, and no way out. That is Evil Dead. That has always been Evil Dead.

He co-wrote the script with Florent Bernard, his Infested collaborator. Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert produce through Ghost House Pictures. Bruce Campbell and Lee Cronin are executive producers. The whole institution showed up for this one.

What the Film Is About

A woman loses her husband in a car accident and goes to stay with her in-laws at their remote house. The in-laws find the Book of the Dead. You already know what happens after that. You have always known.

Souheila Yacoub leads the cast, joined by Hunter Doohan, Luciane Buchanan, Tandi Wright, and George Pullar. The film shot in New Zealand between July and October 2025 and is the sixth installment in the Evil Dead series.

Evil Dead Rise proved the standalone approach works. It did not need you to have seen anything. Burn looks like it is doing the same thing and doing it in a filthier, more confined space, which is exactly where this franchise lives best. If the teaser is any indication, Vaniček understood the assignment from the first frame.

Evil Dead Wrath follows in 2028, directed by Francis Galluppi. The pipeline is full. I am not complaining.
