‘The Reef: Stalked’ Trailer Features Kayakers Hunted by a Great White Shark

Sharks, Sharks, Sharks

by Trey Hilburn III

Its always good to keep a certain amount of killer sharks in your horror diet. The first trailer for The Reef: Stalked is here to take care of that for us. The trailer features a group of kayakers out to have a great time in the ocean. As these things usually go, the folks trying to have a good time in the ocean end up running into sharks and the almost goodtime turns into a fight for survival. Sure, we have seen it before, but its a formula that we keep coming back for.

The first Reef film came out back in 2010 and it was fun, aquatic, pulse pounding ride. The sequel looks like it is going to be a blast as well. Plus, as we mentioned before, we are never going to get tired of shark movies.

The synopsis for The Reef: Stalked goes like this:

In an effort to heal after witnessing her sister’s horrific murder, Nic, her sister Annie and two close friends travel to a remote Pacific island for a kayaking and diving adventure. Only hours into their expedition, the women are stalked and then attacked by a massive Great White Shark. To survive the women will need to band together, and Nic will have to overcome her post-traumatic stress, face her fears and slay a monster.

The Reef: Stalked arrives on Shudder and in theaters and VOD beginning July 29.
