The Feast is coming at us from IFC Midnight and gives us another dark chapter of modern folk horror. The last couple of years has been a big moment for folk horror’s growth and I hope that its a trend that just keeps on rolling its evil little wheels. The Feast played SXSW and it left a mark on the audience, its a pitch black, unsettling film that is filled with a dread atmosphere.

The synopsis for The Feast goes like this:

“…follows a young woman serving privileged guests at a dinner party in a remote house in rural Wales. The assembled guests do not realize they are about to eat their last supper.”

The Feast stars Annes Elwy, Lisa Palfrey, Annes Elwy, Caroline Berry and is directed by Lee Haven Jones and written by Roger Williams.

The Feast arrives in select theaters and VOD beginning November 19.
