‘Spirit Halloween: The Movie’ Gets Second Teaser With Evil Christopher Lloyd

Published

on

Spirit

The trailer for Spirit Halloween: The Movie is finally here. It immediately checks off all those boxes of Monster Squad meets Goosebumps that you would hope for. It features a group of kiddos on bikes who end up stuck inside a store. Of course, they are also trapped with all kinds of curses and monsters.

The latest Spirit Halloween: The Movie reveals the big baddie of the movie is an evil Christopher Lloyd who is at fault for taking possession of the animatronics inside the Spirit store. That explains why everything including the possessed girl sounds slightly like Lloyd.

The synopsis for Spirit Halloween: The Movie goes like this:

“When a new pop-up Halloween store opens in a deserted strip mall, three middle school friends who think they’ve outgrown trick or treating make a dare to spend the night locked inside the store Halloween night. But they soon find out that the store is haunted by an angry evil spirit who has possessed the creepy animatronic characters. The kids will need to embark on a thrilling and spooky adventure in order to survive the night and avoid becoming possessed themselves.”

The film stars Christopher Lloyd, Rachael Leigh Cook, Marla Gibbs, and a fantastic cast of up-and-coming talent, including Donovan Colan, Marissa Reyes, Jaiden J. Smith and Dylan Martin Frankel in a film directed by David Poag.

Spirit Halloween: The Movie arrives on October 11 on VOD.

Hulu’s October Schedule is a Great Source of Horror

Published

Hulu

There is plenty to dig into in Hulu’s Huluween this year. As part of this year’s schedule, the entire thing gets kicked off with Huluween Dragstravaganaza on October first and keeps the spooky going through the entire month. The biggest and buzziest drop in Hulu’s October lineup has to be the new Hellraiser film directed by David Bruckner. It looks to bring the franchise into a whole new generation with Jamie Clayton taking on the role of Pinhead along with a new re-imagined story.

The full schedule is one that is filled with more than just horror selections, but for the most part, a huge chunk of the action is definitely all about keeping the schedule spooky and there is a lot of stuff to choose from to keep your Halloween… interesting.

‘V/H/S/99’ Trailer Takes Us to the Terror-Filled 1990s

Published

on

V/H/S/99

The 90s were a scarier time than most folks remember. It was a boyband takeover and almost too many brightly lit outfits and beanies for the human mind to take. Plus, there was that whole Y2K thing. The upcoming V/H/S/99 is about to remind us of a few more reasons why the whole 90s thing was so scary with their latest decade-centric anthology entry.

The new trailer if full of little moments that are right on the money when it comes to the 90s and especially the formatting of cameras at that time. I’m sure everything planned for this one will be a blast with directors like Johnannes Roberts and Flying Lotus onboard as the mad minds behind this one’s stories.

The synopsis for V/H/S/99 goes like this:

V/H/S/99 harkens back to the final punk rock analog days of VHS, while taking one giant leap forward into the hellish new millennium. In V/H/S/99, a thirsty teenager’s home video leads to a series of horrifying revelations.

This one is directed by Maggie Levin, Johannes Roberts, Flying Lotus, Tyler MacIntyre, and Vanessa and Joseph Winter.

V/H/S/99 arrives on Shudder beginning on October 20.

Crazy ‘Feed Me’ Trailer Feels Like Jeffrey Dahmer Meets ‘Hostel’

Published

on

Man restrained with his arm about top be sawed off

Bloody, unhinged, and graphic — and that’s just the trailer! Feed Me is looking to test your gag reflex when it hits digital and on demand on October 27. The film is getting ready to premiere at Los Angele’s Beyond Fest on October, 5.

XYZ Films acquired the horror film with the help of EVP of US distribution, James Emanuel Shapiro. He was so impressed he negotiated the deal directly with the film’s four producers.

Buckets and Buckets of Gore

“I was truly blown away by Feed Me,” Shapiro contends. “I’ve watched this movie ten times since I first saw it because it’s such a blast. This is a horror film for the real sickos out there, myself included. I haven’t had this much fun watching a horror movie since Drag Me to Hell. This is not a brooding horror drama about grief and the human existence. Feed Me is a rollercoaster ride full of thrills, laughs and screams and it brings buckets and buckets of gore and grime to the table. I had to release this for Halloween. Dinner is served!”

There are actually two writers and directors of the film, Adam Leader and Richard Oakes. They say they weren’t afraid to offend anyone and just went for it with the story.

Feed Me is very much a film unto its own,” they said in a press release. “As a product of our combined personalities as a filmmaker duo, it’s an example of what we feel we do best – layering bizarre, batshit-crazy horror with a generous dusting of comedy on a dramatic story of grief, heartache, and self-loathing.

“From the moment of its inception, we wanted to tell the story without holding back due to the worry of what others might think. Its running themes and distinguished nature somewhat personally echo aspects of our own style as a filmmaking duo.

Plot:

Feed Me follows Mulvin’s character Jed, whose life is shattered when his wife, played by Loxley, suddenly dies and Jed feels directly responsible. Spiraling into an abyss of depression, he finds himself in a bar with a deranged cannibal, Lionel Flack (Ward, in a truly star-making performance) who convinces him he can redeem himself through the glorious act of allowing himself to be slowly eaten to death.
