Final Destination 6 Headed To HBO Max
Final Destination was good even when it got bad. The series which revolved around the inevitability of death’s design were constantly fun outings. Each installment gave us really fun and inventive kills that you, the audience, could piece together as quickly as death himself. In a way, the audience formulated the characters’ deaths with as much gusto as the reaper. It’s been a long time since we have seen a new Final Destination and it appears now is the time.
Best of all, this Final Destination will find a home at HBO Max.
Jon Watts (Spider-Man No Way Home, Cop Car) is coming aboard as a producer for the new franchise entry. As a long-time fan of the franchise, he has come up with an outline and is going to be working with Lori Evans Taylor and Guy Busick to bring the franchise back to its roots. Watts will also work with his wife Dianne McGunigle on bringing this Final Destination to screen.

“Both Dianne and I have been massive fans of ‘Final Destination’ from the very beginning,” Watts stated. “So to be able to have a hand in crafting a new story with the original team and New Line is going to be both fun and exciting,” Watts told Variety.Watts is a perfect pick for Final Destination. His directing chops on Cop Car were phenomenal. It will be great to see him step away from Spider-Man for a bit and use his talents to give us something else.
So far no plot details are available but we will let you know more when we get the info in.
