Silent Hill’s director, Keiichiro Toyama is back with what looks to be another page out of the nightmare blueprint book. The Game Awards 2021 had plenty to show off to video game fans. One of the biggest standouts of the night was hands down Toyama’s Slitterhead.
The intro to the Slitterhead trailer might have had a few fans thinking that it was classic Yoshiaki Kawajiri anime, Wicked City. Of course, it ended up being an entirely new nightmare from the Silent Hill creator’s mind.
Slitterhead looks to be a combo of throwback anime and Silent Hill sensibilities. The trailer just goes off the rails the further it progresses and we love it.
We can’t wait to find out more about this one and of course we can’t wait to get our hands on it. Anything that Toyama does we are going to meet him halfway.
