Scream has just reached its second weekend in theaters and although the film got moved to a number two spot at the box office, it is still doing very well.
Scream fans are a ravenous and dedicated bunch and their fandom knows no bounds. You need look no further than the price of a special promo popcorn bucket and cup via eBay to get a barometer reading on the above-mentioned ravenous fandom.
This auction ended at a price of $102.50 for the collectible popcorn bucket.
The special promo items are a matching plastic square popcorn bucket and a large drink cup. Both popcorn bucket and cup are colored black with some familiar artwork that features Ghostface holding his famous Buck knife.
Now for the ludicrous part of the listing. These pair are selling on eBay with prices that range from $60 to $200. That’s an incredible amount of dough for a popcorn bucket and cup. I mean, something like that in theaters would have cost around $20 – maybe. So, that’s one heck of a markup for ole’ Ghostface.
Like I said, Scream fans are ravenous when it comes to that franchise.
