Showtime is trying to pump some new blood into everyone’s favorite serial killer series. Dexter: Original Sin continues to build anticipation as they drip feed information about the upcoming plot and cast. It was recently revealed that Sarah Michelle Geller (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) will be joining the cast list.
This marvelous actress will play CSI Chief, Tanya Martin in the new spin off. Alongside Geller, we will also see Patrick Gibson (Shadow and Bone), Molly Brown (Senior Year), James Martinez (Wolf Pack), Chistina Milian (Resort to Love), Alex Shimizu (The Blacklist), Christian Slater (Heathers), Reno Wilson (Fatal Attraction), and Patrick Dempsey (Thanksgiving).
All in all, the cast list for Dexter: Original Sin is starting to look very impressive. Unfortunately, the series does not have a release date yet. While some information about the series is still under wraps, you can read the official synopsis below.
Dexter: Original Sin is set in 1991 Miami and revolves around Dexter (Gibson) as he goes from student to avenging serial killer. With guidance from his father, Harry (Slater), Dexter adopts a Code designed to help him find and kill people without being discovered by law enforcement at the same time as he begins a forensics internship at the Miami Metro Police Department.
