Robert Englund Has Begun Filming Scenes on ‘Stranger Things: Season 4’
Dreams do come true, y’all! And who knows more about dreams than the dream master himself, Robert Englund. In casting news that comes from the inner sanctums of heaven itself Englund is working on Stranger Things Season 4. If that sounds famliair it’s because we already let you guys know about that great casting move a bit earlier in the year. We are just reporting back because Englund is filming his role in the Duffer Bros Stranger Things. The horror icon took to socials to share the good news. Its amazing to see Englund posting to his socials to show himself looking very cool and dapper to inform us he is shooting his scenes.
Stranger Things‘ Twitter went on a bit of a tangent, giving us brief descriptions of different characters who are new to Hawkins this season. As earlier reported Stranger Things Tweeted Englund’s character description
“Robert Englund aka Victor Creel is a disturbed and intimidating man who is imprisoned in a psychiatric hospital for a gruesome murder in the 1950s.“
Not only is Englund joining Stranger Things, but he is doing so in the aforementioned role of a psychiatric hospital based, disturbed individual. We are still a little ways off from Stranger Things, but news like this and the recent teaser that featured flashback of Eleven herself are doing well to whet our appetite.
Stranger Things is unapologetically a product of the 80s. The creators of the series, The Duffer Bros are 80s kids. They grew up on breakfast cereals, sitting way too close to the TV and watching Predator until the VHS tape snapped. Real recognize real, as they say. All of those joys are shown in every frame and conversation of Stranger Things. 80’s pop culture casting has become a part of the series as well. That’s why the Duffer Bros. involving horror superhero, Robert Englund is so damn exciting. They aren’t casting him to be some schmoe either. Englund will play that above mentioned and below Tweeted role of Victor Creel. Fitting and tailor made. We can’t wait.

Watch ‘The Burning’ At The Location Where It Was Filmed
Fangoria is reporting that fans of the 1981 slasher The Burning will be able to have a screening of the film at the location where it was filmed. The movie is set at Camp Blackfoot which is actually the Stonehaven Nature Preserve in Ransomville, New York.
This ticketed event will take place on August 3. Guests will be able to take a tour of the grounds as well as enjoy some campfire snacks along with the screening of The Burning.
The film came out in the early ’80s when teen slashers were being churned out in magnum force. Thanks to Sean S. Cunningham’s Friday the 13th, filmmakers wanted to get in on the low-budget, high-profit movie market and a casket load of these types of films were produced, some better than others.
The Burning is one of the good ones, mostly because of the special effects from Tom Savini who had just come off of his groundbreaking work on Dawn of the Dead and Friday the 13th. He declined to do the sequel because of its illogical premise and instead signed on to do this movie. Also, a young Jason Alexander who would later go on to play George in Seinfeld is a featured player.
Because of its practical gore, The Burning had to be heavily edited before it received an R-rating. The MPAA was under the thumb of protest groups and political bigwigs to censor violent films at the time because slashers were just so graphic and detailed in their gore.
Tickets are $50, and if you want a special t-shirt, that will cost you another $25, You can get all the information by visiting the On Set Cinema webpage.
