It’s a new week and that means new horror movies. We have five films coming to streaming platforms this week, including Shudder’s Destroy All Neighbors. So, make sure to clear a few hours of your schedule this week, because we have some good ones to get into.
They Turned Us Into Killers- January 9th-VOD

I love a “Good for Her” horror flick. There’s just something about films like Promising Young Woman that makes me want to binge revenge flicks. This week we get a new entry into the subgenre with They Turned Us Into Killers.
This entry is a bit more psychedelic and has notably worse production value than some others in the subgenre, but when has that ever stopped us from enjoying a horror film in the past? If you want to experience some new feminine rage this week, check out They Turned Us Into Killers.
Destroy All Neighbors-January 12th-Shudder

I am not sure what the connection between horror and rock is, but I just can’t get enough of it. Films like Todd & the Book of Pure Evil paved the way for new entries in the subgenre like this. Destroy All Neighbors takes the horror comedy tropes of its predecessors and cranks it up to eleven.
This film claims to be unlike anything we have ever seen before, and based on the trailer alone I can say that I believe them. If you want to add some anarchy to your life, go check out Destroy All Neighbors.
Laced-January 12th-VOD

It seems like murdering someone in the middle of a blizzard wouldn’t be the wisest of ideas, but what do I know? Continuing our revenger horror releases this week is the new film Laced.
This Indie horror film received a whopping 8 official selections during its time on the circuit. If that isn’t an amazing endorsement of what the film has to offer, I don’t know what is. If you are looking for something a little slower this week, check out Laced.
The Human Trap-January 12th-VOD

There are so many horror films about being hunted in the woods. The Newest addition to this list is The Human Trap. What does this film bring to the table that the others don’t? Well, this one seems to be about organ harvesting, instead of cannibalism.
Is this an entirely new idea, no. However, I am excited to see what kind of influence South Korean culture has on the subgenre. It has to be more interesting than seeing inbred hicks kill hot teenagers for the millionth time.
T.I.M.-January 12th-VOD

I don’t understand the whole AI will kill us all panic. I for one welcome our robot overlords, they can’t do much worse than we have. Our newest murder robot film is T.I.M.. And boy does this robot perfect that uncanny valley effect.
T.I.M. asks the audience a fairly simple question, what do you do when your sentient robot servant falls in love with your wife? If you want to know the answer, you will have to check out T.I.M. when it releases this week.
