New Gothic Winter Collection Based on Guillermo Del Toro’s ‘Crimson Peak’ Unveiled.

This past August, we shared news about Fashion House LA Femme en Noir celebrating gothic horror inspired by Bram Stoker’s Dracula. La Femme en Noir has done it again, unveiling a new line, and we are excited to share the details in the press release below, along with some fantastic photos!

Renowned Los Angeles-based apparel company and high-end Gothic fashion house La Femme en Noir is thrilled to announce an exclusive fashion collaboration with Legendary Entertainment, bringing to life the hauntingly beautiful aesthetics of Guillermo del Toro’s iconic 2015 feature film, Crimson Peak. The much-anticipated PRE-ORDERS for this unique collection have just launched.

ABOUT LE FEMME EN NOIR: 

Micheline Pitt is an established artist and designer who has cut her teeth in the fashion industry over the past 10+ years. For many of those, she was the creator and designer behind a well-known indie brand before branching off to begin her own company, Vixen by Micheline Pitt in 2016. 

Taking inspiration from 1950s bad girls, vintage aesthetic, and 80’s flair, Micheline launched Vixen to showcase her creative talents, as well as her ability to create high quality fashion to showcase the female form no matter the size.  Micheline is proud to offer “Good Things for Bad Girls” available in sizes xs-4x.

With the success of Vixen, Micheline has gone on to create partnerships with other high-end brands including, Hollywood beauty industry legend Julie Hewett, Ben Cooper, Love Pain and Stitches, and cult comic book creator Ryan Heshka, as well as frequently collaborating with brands for her own namesake collections. In 2017 she teamed up with long-time friend Lynh Haaga and launched La Femme en Noir, a solo brand that focuses on delicate and dark designs for the glamorously gothic.

Lynh Haaga has been in the fashion industry for over 30 years. Growing up in Vietnam with a master tailor as her father, she spent her formative years watching him make  bespoke suits, measuring them meticulously and hand creating beautifully built menswear.

Graduating from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago as a multi-disciplined fine artist and designer, Haaga has kept that spirit of discovery and new techniques and applied it to her work in fashion. She began her career in New York City as a design assistant to high fashion designers Gemma Kahng and Charles Chang-Lima, and following that led a successful indie lingerie brand, Agente Underworld.

Moving to Los Angeles, Haaga continued as a senior designer and design director for such corporate powerhouses as BCBG Max Azria, Bebe, and Forever 21 before starting her own design consultant company and founding La Femme en Noir with her partner and dear friend, Micheline Pitt.

Spirit Halloween Unleashes Life-Size ‘Ghostbusters’ Terror Dog

Halfway to Halloween and the licensed merch is already being released for the holiday. For instance, the seasonal retailer giant Spirit Halloween unveiled their giant Ghostbusters Terror Dog for the first time this year.

The one-of-a-kind demonic dog has eyes that light up in a glowing, terrifying red. It’s going to set you back a whopping $599.99.

Since this year we saw the release of Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, it’s probably going to be a popular theme come October. Spirit Halloween is embracing their inner Venkman with other releases tied to the franchise such as the LED Ghostbuster Ghost Trap, Ghostbusters Walkie Talkie, Life-Size Replica Proton Pack.

We saw the release of other horror props today. Home Depot unveiled a few pieces from their line which includes the signature giant skeleton and separate dog companion.

Home Depot’s 12-Foot Skeleton Returns with a New Friend, Plus New Life-Size Prop from Spirit Halloween

Halloween is the greatest holiday of them all. However, every great holiday needs amazing props to go with it. Luckily for you, there are two new amazing props that have been released, which are sure to impress your neighbors and frighten any neighborhood children who are unfortunate enough to wander past your yard.

The first entry is the return of the Home Depot 12-foot skeleton prop. Home Depot has outdone themselves in the past. But this year the company is bringing bigger and better things to their Halloween prop lineup.

This year, the company unveiled its new and improved Skelly. But what is a giant skeleton without a loyal friend? Home Depot has also announced that they will release a five-foot tall skeleton dog prop to eternally keep Skelly company as he haunts your yard this spooky season.

This bony pooch will be five feet tall and seven feet long. The prop will also feature a posable mouth and LCD eyes with eight variable settings. Lance Allen, Home Depot’s merchant of decorative Holliday gear, had the following to say about this year’s lineup.

“This year we increased our realism within the animatronics category, created some impressive, licensed characters and even brought back some fan favorites. Overall, we are most proud of the quality and value we are able to bring to our customers with these pieces so they can continue to grow their collections.”

NECA Unveils Screen-Accurate Life-Sized M3GAN Doll for Pre-Order

NECA, in partnership with Blumhouse Productions, has announced the release of a life-sized replica of the M3GAN doll, a central character from the popular horror film “M3GAN”. Originally perceived as a potential April Fools’ joke due to the timing of the announcement, the offering has been confirmed as genuine, with pre-orders still available, quelling initial skepticism.

Priced at $494.99, this meticulously crafted replica stands approximately 55 inches tall and is designed based on the Model 3 Generative Android (M3GAN) as seen in the film. M3GAN, conceptualized as both a technological companion for children and a support system for parents, evolves into a self-aware entity with unforeseen and sinister consequences. This replica captures the essence of M3GAN’s character, leveraging actual digital files used in the film to achieve an unprecedented level of screen accuracy.
