Neil Gaiman’s ‘Good Omens’ Season 2 Has An Impressive Cast of New Additions

A Tale of Two Angels

by Trey Hilburn III

Neil Gaiman’s Good Omens is coming back for a second season. Although the book by Gaiman and Terry Pratchett was told in the first season of Good Omens, the second season is going to expand and go beyond the established narrative. This will further flesh out the adorable story of friendship between fallen angel Crowley and goodie two shoes angel Aziraphale.

We will of course see season one characters David Tennant, Micheal Sheen, Jon Ham and others return for season two. New exciting cast additions include League of Gentlemen and Inside No. 9 stars Reece Shearsmith, Steve Pemberton and Mark Gatiss. You can also expect to see Pete Firman, Andi Osho, and Alex Norton in the BBC’s second season.

The new season will focus on Crowley and Aziraphale living their lives in Soho, when an unexpected mystery is presented to the two reluctant best friends.

There still is no word on Benedict Cumberbatch will reprise his role in this season. I’m sure we can expect to see quite a few great cameo’s in the six-episode Amazon series.

“We are so thrilled that we were able to get so many fabulous actors to return to the Good Omens family.” Gaiman said in a statement. “Some of them are reprising roles, some of them are playing completely new characters. And we are just as thrilled by the people coming to the Good Omens team for the first time. We have an ensemble cast of astonishing talent, and seeing what they’re giving us is a daily treat. I can’t wait until the rest of the world gets that treat, too.”

Are you excited to see Crowley and Aziraphale return in Good Omens season 2?
