The horror genre is no stranger to outlandish concepts, and the latest to join the ranks is Monsternado. Uncork’d Entertainment recently unveiled the official trailer, promising a whirlwind of monstrous proportions.
Monsternado is not just any tornado; as its logline intriguingly puts it, it “fills a tornado with ALL of the scariest creatures.” Set to premiere on digital platforms this coming November, the film is the brainchild of the filmmaker behind the Loch Ness Monster movie, another Uncork’d Entertainment production. Of course the trailer looks ridiculous, but in the kind of way that still looks like a lot of fun to watch. Watch the trailer below:
Drawing parallels to the cult favorite Sharknado, Monsternado takes the concept up a notch. Instead of just airborne sharks, audiences will witness a maelstrom of megalodons, giant squids, krakens, man-eating spiders, and a host of other terrifying creatures. These beasts are not just swirling around; they are catapulted towards a coastal city from waterspouts, reaching staggering speeds of 300 miles per hour.
Keith Leopard, the Studio president, couldn’t contain his excitement about the film. He lauded it as “another fantastic film from Tyler James“ and emphasized its captivating nature, saying it is “fun, frightening and brimming with some very cool special effects sequences.”
Monsternado is set to storm onto Digital and DVD platforms on November 14.
