Pedro Pascal star of The Last of Us is heading for his next go-round in video game dystopia as Mario. That’s right, y’all. Mario Kart is getting a remake that takes it to a gritty dystopia. SNL hosted Pascal over the weekend and it saw the sketches improve quite a bit. The best of which was the Mario Kart sketch… and the LA Mushmouth sketch.
The SNL sketch reimagines the world of Mario Kart as a world destroyed by Bowser. However, it still calls Mario out of retirement to take Princess Peach down a deadly version of Rainbow Road. “Let’s a-go.”
The entire thing is hilarious one of the standout moments comes from Mario and Peach going to find help from Luigi who they stumble upon at Luigi’s Mansion.
