If you were missing your daily dietary supply of shark films, don’t worry – there is a new one on the way. Deep Fear takes humans out on the water at the mercy of some hungry circling sharks. Both, Madalina Ghenea and Ed Westwick are set to join the picture directed by, Marcus Adams. Bring on more of the frickin’ sharks.
In this one a yacht hits an unexpected storm that sends things off course and into the realm of some murdery sharks.
The synoopsis for Deep Fear goes like this:
Naomi (Ghenea) an accomplished round-the-world yachtswoman, who sets out on a solo trip to meet her boyfriend, Jackson (Westwick) in Grenada. Her tranquil three-day sail aboard 47-foot yacht “The Serenity” takes an unexpectedly dark turn when a storm forces her off the plotted course.
We have seen an uptick in shark films lately. I enjoy a good one… and even a bad one. I think the difference between the enjoyment quality comes down to pitch and tone. Oh, and of course, how crappy is the shark cg going to be? Not going to use much or any cg? Perfect. But, don’t give me a film full of shark stock footage either!
