'The Walking Dead' Does Things the Drive-In Way

Joe Bob Brigg’s The Last Drive-In is coming back for Halloween weekend to give us the undead horrors of The Walking Dead. The long-running  AMC series will be forced to do things the drive in way.

Shudder will air the special episode of The Last-Drive in with special guest Greg Nicotero. The series will air the first two episode of The Walking Dead. Yep, they are going all the way back to when the series was still good with showrunner Frank Darabont. Darabont, originally set out to make the zombies more formidable and harder to kill. In an early scene Rick loses his breath and can hardly stand after killing one zombie with a baseball bat.

Following Darbont leaving, zombies became entirely too easy too kill and the series lost its horror edge. I hope that Joe Bob brings up Darabont.

The Last Drive-In special episode airs on Shudder at 9pm Eastern on Oct. 29. A great way to start off your Halloween-Halloweekend. It will also be available simultaneously on AMC+.

Briggs took to Twitter to share the good news and announced:

Join iconic horror host and foremost drive-in movie critic Joe Bob Briggs and special guest, The Walking Dead Executive Producer and Special Effects Make-up Supervisor/Designer, Greg Nicotero, as they watch the first two episodes of The Walking Dead, Season 1 and talk about the introduction and evolution of walkers, as well as iconic walkers from the series.
