True Detective has been a great ride. The first season was obviously the strongest of the bunch. However, that might change now that Jodie Foster is coming to lead the cast of True Detective season 4.
We all know that Foster killed it in Silence of the Lambs as Clarice Starling. She is coming back to investigate more no-goods in the neo-noir, macabre series at HBO.
The synopsis for True Detective season 4 goes like this:
“When the long winter night falls in Ennis, Alaska, the six men that operate the Tsalal Arctic Research Station vanish without a trace,” reads the synopsis. “To solve the case, Detectives Liz Danvers (Foster) and Evangeline Navarro (Reis) will have to confront the darkness they carry in themselves and dig into the haunted truths that lie buried under the eternal ice.”
True Detective: Night Country stars John Hawkes (Deadwood), Christopher Eccleston (Doctor Who), Fiona Shaw (Killing Eve), Finn Bennett (The Nevers), and Anna Lambe (Three Pines).
We can’t wait to see what this season brings with it. It already sounds very strong and with a lead like Foster, this one could be the best yet.
