Jeff Goldblum is joining Netflix’s upcoming series, Kaos. The series is a dark-comedy that follows the world of vengeful Mythological gods. Zeus is particularly vengeful. Goldblum is replacing Hugh Grant who ended up having some scheduling issues that forced him out of Kaos.
The eight-part series tells a Greeky Mythology reimaging by creator and writer Charlie Covell. In the story, Zeus inhabits this world of other figures from Mythology. The gods must navigate and must explore love, being powerful and existing in the Underworld. All that while maintaining the semblance of being a god.
Goldblum plays the God of Thunder and lives in his all-powerful mindset until he discovers a single wrinkle on his forehead. This discovery sends him down a dangerous spiral made up entirely of hubris. Zeus must deal with possible coming neurosis and deal with that possibly becoming the undoing of everything.
The series also stars Janet McTeer, Cliff Curtis, David Thewlis, Killian Scott, Aurora Perrineau, Misia Butler, Leila Farzad, Nabhaan Rizwan, Rakie Ayola, and Stanley Townsend.
The series sounds like it really does earn that dark comedy status. I mean with a huge emphasis on dark.
Kaos is set to begin filming this Summer. When we discover more about Netflix’s new series we will be sure to let you know.

‘Conversations With a Killer: The Jeffrey Dahmer Tapes’ Trailer Does Deep Dive Into Serial Killer
Netflix’s recent Evan Peter’s series Dahmer is intense and is already upsetting a lot of its audience with its sheer disturbing nature. Next up, Netflix has a new Conversations With a Killer entry coming up. This one focuses on The Jeffrey Dahmer Tapes. The trailer for the true crime doc brings on the realness of the case and is all the more disturbing because of it.
The synopsis for The Jeffrey Dahmer Tapes goes like this:
When Milwaukee police entered the apartment of 31-year-old Jeffrey Dahmer in July of 1991, they uncovered the grisly personal museum of a serial killer: a freezer full of human heads, skulls, bones and other remains in various states of decomposition and display. Dahmer quickly confessed to sixteen murders in Wisconsin over the previous four years, plus one more in Ohio in 1978, as well as unimaginable acts of necrophilia and cannibalism. The discovery shocked the nation and stunned the local community, who were incensed that such a depraved killer had been allowed to operate within their city for so long. Why was Dahmer, who had been convicted of sexual assault of a minor in 1988, able to avoid suspicion and detection from police as he stalked Milwaukee’s gay scene for victims, many of whom were people of color? The third in a series from director Joe Berlinger (CWAK: The Ted Bundy Tapes, CWAK: The John Wayne Gacy Tapes), this three-part documentary features never-before-heard audio interviews between Dahmer and his defense team, delving into his warped psyche while answering these open questions of police accountability through a modern-day lens. Featuring fresh interviews with investigative journalists, prosecutors, psychologists, and victims’ friends and families, Conversations with a Killer: The Jeffrey Dahmer Tapes shines new light on the intersection of race, class, sexuality, and policing that gave rise to one of the most notorious murderers of the 20th century.
The Jeffrey Dahmer tapes arrives on Netflix beginning October 7.
M. Night Shyamalan’s ‘Knock at the Cabin’ Asks a Terrified Family to Stop the Apocalypse
M. Night Shyamalan’s next film is finally here. This is his first follow-up since his last film, Old. Knock at the Cabin is really mixing up the home invasion genre by giving the home invaders a possibly real reason for entering and terrorizing. Of course, just cause this group is asking the family to stop an apocalypse it doesn’t mean that it is necessarily true. This could be a figment of this group’s imagination. I’m sure the poor family being assaulted won’t know what the heck they are talking about.
The trailer sets up for a tense experience with a lot of mystery built up around the edges. We are hoping that the story sticks together and doesn’t go The Happening on us.
The synopsis for Knock at the Cabin goes like this:
While vacationing at a remote cabin, a young girl and her parents are taken hostage by four armed strangers who demand that the family make an unthinkable choice to avert the apocalypse. With limited access to the outside world, the family must decide what they believe before all is lost.
Knock at the Cabin arrives in theaters beginning February 3.
