Shudder is unleashing canine paranormal POV movie Good Boy on their subscription service. They have acquired the rights to this highly-anticipated indy hit. We aren’t sure when, but if it were us, we’d do it in mid- August just in time for Halloween.
There hasn’t been a trailer released yet either, but that hasn’t stopped the buzz. The movie was a hit at the SXSW festival last year and current sits at a 100% critic’s score on Rotten Tomatoes. Rafael Motamayor of that site put this movie in his list of 2025 SXSW films to keep an eye on.

Here is the logline: A loyal dog moves to a rural family home with his owner Todd, only to discover supernatural forces lurking in the shadows. As dark entities threaten his human companion, the brave pup must fight to protect the one he loves most.
