Horror fans got sad news this morning as it was announced Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood star Lar Park Lincoln has passed away. She was 63.
Lincoln was a successful Hollywood star who along with acting founded the Actor Audition Studios in Dallas, Texas.
Her career spans decades of both television and cinema. Starting in the 80s she took small parts in shows like Hunter and Outlaws. In 1987 she appeared in House II: The Second Story, but a year later she would get her most iconic role to date as the telekinetic nemesis to Jason Voorhees in Friday the 13th Part VII.
She played Tina Shepard a young woman who frees serial killer and seemingly undead monster Jason Voorhees from his watery grave using her superhero powers. New Blood introduced a new twist in the franchise as it took the series into a paranormal direction beyond Jason’s reanimated body via lightening in the prior film.
Despite fans being broadsided by this new aspect Part VII has become a cult favorite.
After Friday the 13th Lincoln continued to do television with parts in Freddy’s Nightmares, Knot’s Landing and Murder, She Wrote.
In 2021 she returned to Friday the 13th via fan films. First with 13 Fanboy then in Rose Blood: A Friday the 13th Fan Film.
In addition to her career in B-movies and TV guest appearances, Lincoln started the Actor Audition Studios, a company that helps actors progress in their careers using unique programs and training.
