For those of you who were brave enough to endure the extreme horror movie A Serbian Film, it might be your lucky day. Unearthed Film is preparing to release A Serbian Documentary which, “offers an unfiltered look at the creation of one of cinema’s most controversial films. With over 162 hours of exclusive behind-the-scenes footage curated with 14 new interviews with the cast and crew, this documentary pulls back the curtain on the intense experiences and creative visions that shaped A Serbian Film.”

Stephen Biro, CEO of Unearthed Films Corp says, “I am very proud to bring this to life.” Biro also produced and directed A Serbian Documentary.

For those who haven’t seen it, we will give you the synopsis as written by IMDb: “An aging porn star agrees to participate in an ‘art film’ in order to make a clean break from the business, only to discover that he has been drafted into making a pedophilia and necrophilia themed snuff film.”

For further proof that this movie is overly extreme, here is the film rating and a description of why:

Yikes! It’s not for the faint of heart and the ending to this 2010 shocker is so vile there might be no other horror movie to have ever done such a depraved conclusion.

A Serbian Film

If this is piquing your curiosity, here is what the press release says:

“Prepare for a wild ride as it navigates the themes of censorship and artistic expression, revealing what filmmakers and actors truly believed they were creating. Hilarious, sexy but yet intense, this documentary provides a unique perspective on a film that has sparked debates and outrage globally.”

They caution further: “Be forewarned it’s not just informative, but also an outrageous blend of ferocity and humor that promises to challenge your expectations. If you thought you knew the story behind A Serbian Film, think again!”

So far, this is just an announcement from Unearthed Film and the release date is forthcoming. We will keep you posted on when it drops and where.
