It’s been confirmed that Evil Dead Rise will be available digitally today, but we’ve also found out that its physical media (4K UHD, Blu-ray, DVD) release will follow on June 27th! You can pre-order Evil Dead Rise here!

Here’s the info:

  • On May 9, Evil Dead Rise will be available for early Premium Digital Ownership at home for $24.99 and for 48-hour rental via PVOD for $19.99 SRP on participating digital platforms where you purchase movies, including Amazon Prime Video, AppleTV, Google Play, Vudu.
  • On June 27, Evil Dead Rise will be available on 4K UHD Combo Pack, Blu-ray Combo Pack and DVD. Evil Dead Rise will also continue to be available to own in high definition and standard definition from participating digital retailers.

Originally planned for exclusive streaming on HBO Max (now rebranded as Max), Evil Dead Rise has exceeded expectations by grossing over $100 million worldwide since its debut in theaters on April 21st.

This remarkable achievement is even more impressive considering the film’s modest budget of under $20 million. As a result, Sam Raimi, Bruce Campbell, and Rob Tapert, the esteemed holders of the Evil Dead franchise rights, are now empowered to proceed with their visionary plan of delivering captivating Evil Dead sequels at regular intervals of two to three years.

After witnessing Lee Cronin’s directorial debut in the chilling film The Hole in the Ground, renowned Evil Dead franchise creator, Raimi, personally selected him to helm and pen a fresh installment of the iconic series.

Titled Evil Dead Rise, the upcoming movie presents an intricately woven narrative as follows: A road-weary Beth pays an overdue visit to her older sister Ellie, who is raising three kids on her own in a cramped L.A apartment. The sisters’ reunion is cut short by the discovery of a mysterious book deep in the bowels of Ellie’s building, giving rise to flesh-possessing demons, and thrusting Beth into a primal battle for survival as she is faced with the most nightmarish version of motherhood imaginable.
