‘Call of Duty’ Gets Spooky With New ‘The Haunting’ Event and New Zombies Mode

'Call of Duty' Has Become a Halloween Tradition

by Trey Hilburn III

Halloween is full of traditions. You know, those little things that you do in order to get yourself into the Halloween spirit. One of those has become Call of Duty’s yearly Halloween event. Last year, featured a dark open-world landscape that had zombies and ghosts running through it, in addition to the other players that are gunning for you.

The Haunting of Verdansk is coming back to Call of Duty and we can’t wait to dig into this spooky world.

Along with the Halloween event, is the addition of two new skins. This year we are receiving a Donnie Darko skin and Ghostface from Scream. Last year, we had Leatherface and Billy the Puppet.

Along with The Haunting of Verdansk. There is also an amazingly fun new Zombies mode. This is the final chapter of the Zombies tale. This takes things to the open world mission based zombie action that we were introduced to last year, however this adds new mechanics and weapons to the carnage that make for a great experience.

I really dig the addition of horror icons to the game. Each skin, comes with their own weapon set that matches their film persona. For example, Leatherface came with a LMG that looked like the Sawyer family chainsaw from the first Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

If you sign in right now, you can check out all the goodies and put yourself in the Halloween spirit as you own other players in Haunted Verdansk.

Have you jumped in yet? Do what do you think of this year’s event? Let us know on our Facebook and Twitter comments section.
