Bruce Campbell is widely known in horror circles as the man who has done the most slapstick comedy in a horror film. He is one of the most iconic horror actors the genre has been gifted. However, the man with the boom stick isn’t just about horror.

In fact, he recently wrote and directed a very sincere and heartfelt comedy called Ernie & Emma. Now, anyone could have guessed that Campbell would star in the film he wrote/directed. However, this film is more of a family affair. Campbell‘s wife, Ida Gearon, produces the film alongside him. You can read the official synopsis for the film below.

“Ernie & Emma is a poignant tale about Ernie Tyler, a small-town pear salesman, and the journey he embarks on following the death of his beloved wife, Emma. After twenty-five years as an executive secretary, Emma leaves behind a detailed list of instructions regarding her ashes, which leads Ernie on a journey of challenging and reflective escapades across Pear Valley, Oregon. As Ernie navigates the road trip of their lives, Emma helps him confront his grief and encourages him to move forward, transforming his life in the process”

Ernie & Emma will premiere at the Holly Theatre in Medford, Oregon, on February 14. Campbell plans to take the film on a national tour following its release. Fan interaction is planned for the Alamo Drafthouse for live Q&A’s.

That’s all the information we have at this time. Make sure to check out the new trailer below.
