Groovy! It turns out that Bruce Campbell is indeed hidden in Evil Dead Rise in some capacity or another. That’s right, ya’ll! Campbell is indeed showing up in the latest film. This is according to Sam Raimi and director Lee Cronin.
While speaking to Cronin the director ended up stating that “It felt like in order to move the franchise somewhere new and to unlock the potential of the universe to tell more stories, it needed to break free [of Ash],” the director sent on. “But Bruce is hidden in the movie somewhere. Bruce has a small presence in the movie. The first person to figure it out and send me a tweet, I’ll give them 50 bucks.”
Well, a 50-dollar offer? That must be some really hidden role/part/cameo. In fact, I’m willing to bet that Campbell is an inanimate object. Or perhaps… could it be that Campbell is going to give voice, AKA, make sound effects for the famous 1973 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale.
Of course, I’m talking about Bruce’s car. There is a high chance that the vehicle makes an appearance. Now with that possibility comes the off chance that Campbell gives voice and grinding transmission to life. Seriously, having Campbell become the ole’ Delta 88 would bring the character and vehicle full circle.
