‘Apartment 7A’ Trailer Unveils the Chilling Backstory to ‘Rosemary’s Baby’

A trailer has been released for Apartment 7A, a psychological thriller confirmed to be a prequel to the 1968 horror classic Rosemary’s Baby. Directed by Natalie Erika James, known for Relic, the film will debut on Paramount+ on September 27th, with a simultaneous digital release.

The movie follows Terry Gionoffrio, played by Julia Garner, a young dancer who suffers a career-ending injury and is taken in by an older couple at the Bramford, a luxurious apartment building in New York City. Set in 1965, the story explores the events in the Bramford before the arrival of Rosemary Woodhouse, the main character in Rosemary’s Baby.

The screenplay, originally written by Skylar James, was revised by Natalie Erika James and Christian White. The cast includes Dianne Wiest, Jim Sturgess, Kevin McNally, and others.

Apartment 7A was produced by John Krasinski, Allyson Seeger, Michael Bay, Andrew Form, and Brad Fuller, with Paramount+ describing it as a fitting release for the Halloween season.
