‘American Horror Stories’ Season 2’s Trailer Has Arrived Along With List of Disturbing Titled Stories

American Horror Stories season two is right around the corner. After the major hit that season one had, it is only right that Ryan Murphy Brian Falchuck and team follow it up with more insane anthology horror tales. Not only do we have the trailer for season two but we also have the list of story titles.

This time around we have serial killers, dollhouses with human dolls, demons, ghosts and more. Of course, we are only going off of what we see in this trailer. A lot of gruesome goings-on that American Horror Stories could bring to television by way of FX and Hulu.

So, we have also found that the stories for season 2 are as follows:

  1. Dollhouse written by Manny Coto
  2. Necro written by Crystal Liu
  3. Aura written by Manny Coto
  4. Drive written by Manny Coto
  5. Bloody Mary written by Angela L. Harvey
  6. Facelift written by TBA
  7. Milkmaids written by TBA
  8. Lake written by TBA

The arrival of the story titles is setting our imaginations on fire! We can start guessing what direction each episode will go. The trailer already teases some of them. However, titles like Drive and Aura could go for a number of stories or genre types. During a 1 second flash during the trailer, we see what direction Necro is heading and it appears to be a mortician sleeping with a corpse

The new season also stars Alicia Silverstone which is kind of great on its own. In addition, the series stars Cody Fern, Judith Light, Max Greenfield, Madison Iseman, Gabourey Sidibe, and Quvenzhané Wallis.

We are excited to see what types of stories these are. Season one surprised the hell out of us with stories that revolved around windigo-type creatures in the forest (Feral). In addition, we also saw stories involving a drive-in theater overtaken by zombies (Drive-In), and the story of a killer mall Santa Clause (The Naughty List). For those of you who may not recall, the killer mall Santa was played by Danny Trejo!

American Horror Stories season 2 premiers on FX on Hulu beginning July 21. If you need to freshen up on season 1, feel free to go back and give it a rewatch.

‘The Ring’ Comes to Blu-Ray Steelbook Complete With VHS Slipcase Design

Published

Ring

Japan’s entry into J-Horror with Ringu was one of the best that there has ever been. When America decided to do a remake, I can still recall a lot of people being upset that it wouldn’t measure up. However, Gore Verbenski’s dark portrait was nearly a better film than the original. From its ominous start to shocking finish The Ring was effective around every corner. 20 years later folks can still appreciate Verbenski’s film and in order to celebrate the film turning 20 we are getting a cool steelbook blu-ray for the film.

The steelbook comes with an awesome VHS design slipcase. Inside the steelbook is made of static and the iconic scene with Samara and the well.

The synopsis for The Ring goes like this:

It sounds like just another urban legend — a videotape filled with nightmarish images leads to a phone call foretelling the viewer’s death in exactly seven days. Newspaper reporter Rachel Keller (Naomi Watts) is skeptical of the story until four teenagers all die mysteriously exactly one week after watching just such a tape. Allowing her investigative curiosity to get the better of her, Rachel tracks down the video and watches it. Now she has just seven days to unravel the mystery.

Verbinki’s film is genuinely scary and it entirely deserves a 20th anniversary release. It is a film that has managed to stay in the conversation when horror films are being discussed. It still manages to get heavy play during the Halloween season on AMC. Rightfully so.

You can pick up your copy of The Ring’s special edition beginning October 18.
