From Knock at the Cabin to Leave the World Behind, the past few years have given us some thought-provoking fringe horror movies. You’ll Never Find Me looks like another one. But it seems less like an end-of-the-world thriller than a supernatural home invasion hair-raiser.
It’s being called a “chamber chiller,” an obvious play on the term “chamber piece” which means there are very few characters who interact over a short period of time. It had its premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2023 and currently holds a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 16 reviews.
This will be short -film director Josiah Allen’s first feature. His short films include Safe Space, Call Connect and The Recordist. His co-director and the screenwriter of the film, Indianna Bell describes the plot on IMDb:
“Patrick, a strange and lonely resident, lives in a mobile home at the back of an isolated caravan park. After a violent thunderstorm erupts, a mysterious young woman appears at his door, seeking shelter from the weather. The longer the night wears on and the more the young woman discovers about Patrick, the more difficult she finds it to leave. Soon she begins to question Patrick’s intentions, while Patrick begins to question his own grip on reality.”
This title will be available on Shudder starting March, 22.
