You might remember wrestler Chris Jericho’s cameo as a hospital security guard in this year’s sleeper horror movie Terrifier 2. But next year it appears he will get a bigger role in the wrestling movie Dark Match.

Deadline reports that the movie has already wrapped. The story, “sees a small-time wrestling company accept a high-paying gig in a backwoods town, only to discover when they arrive that the community is run by a mysterious cult leader with devious plans for their match.”

Jericho,52, is a six-time world-champion wrestler who says he has no plans to retire from the sport at the moment. Along with music and theater, the multi-talented personality is also pursuing a film career.

Kevin Smith has cast him in the upcoming horror movie KillRoy Was Here. More recently Jericho had a small part in the low-budget/big box office underdog Terrifier 2. For that role, the bulky wrestler had to eat a plate of gelatinous Halloween treats on-screen which he told Screen Rant nearly made him sick.

“And I remember [Director Damien Leone] was like, ‘Can you just eat one more?’ And I was like, ‘Dude, I’ll eat one more, and then that’s it! Because I’m gonna f**king puke if I have to do another one of these.’”

Dark Match is written and directed by Lowell Dean (Wolfcop), and will also star  Ayisha Issa (Transplant), Steven Ogg (The Walking Dead), Sara Canning (The Vampire Diaries), Michael Eklund (Wynonna Earp) and Jonathan Cherry (Goon).
