The official trailer for the tv show adaptation of the game series Twisted Metal has been released and it’s what we would expect to see. Full of crazy automobile action and a gory scene, this show looks like a fun ride. We also get some glimpses of the famous Sweet Tooth character from the game series. The show premieres on the 27th of this month and will be streaming exclusively on Peacock.
From what we know about this post-apocalyptic action/comedy series, each episode will be half an hour long and will consist of a total of 10 episodes. All the episodes will drop on the same day simultaneously. The story “Follows a motor-mouthed outsider offered a chance at a better life, but only if he can successfully deliver a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland.”

The show will be starring Anthony Mackie (Falcon from the MCU) as John Doe and the main lead in the series. It will also be starring Neve Campbell (Scream, The Craft) as Raven and AEW Superstar Samoa Joe as the iconic Sweet Tooth Character. Will Arnett (Ratatouille, The Lego Batman Movie) will be doing the voice-over for Sweet Tooth.

First coming out in 1995, Twisted Metal came out and was a violent demolition derby. Being released on the first PlayStation, the game was a hit and ended up selling over 500,000 copies in total. The series ended up spanning over 9 games total and is the longest-running PlayStation exclusive franchise.
