Russell Crowe’s big exorcist movie did well in box offices, but not nearly as well as it is doing on Netflix at the moment. The Pope’s Exorcist recently dropped onto Netflix and it didn’t take for it to take off as the streaming giant’s number-one streaming film.
The Pope’s Exorcist does a nice job of reinventing the entire exorcist genre. Plus, Crowe does a great job as the film’s lead by bringing some humor to the role.

The synopsis for The Pope’s Exorcist goes like this:
Father Gabriele Amorth, chief exorcist for the Vatican, battles Satan and innocent-possessing demons. A detailed portrait of a priest who performed more than 100,000 exorcisms in his lifetime.
The Pope’s Exorcist landed on Netflix on August 16. Have you checked it out yet? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section.
