Universal and Blumhouse have just unveiled the first official trailer for The Black Phone 2. Following the breakout success of the 2021 original, director Scott Derrickson returns to expand the sinister world of The Grabber, alongside longtime writing partner C. Robert Cargill.

Set several years after the events of the first film, The Black Phone 2 reunites us with survivors Finney (Mason Thames)and Gwen (Madeleine McGraw) as they attempt to move forward—but the past refuses to stay buried. When a new string of disappearances strikes the area, it becomes clear that something—or someone—has returned. And the black phone? It’s ringing again.

Ethan Hawke is back as The Grabber, the masked child abductor whose presence haunted both the original film and audiences long after the credits rolled. Rounding out the returning cast are Jeremy Davies and newcomer Demián Bichir, adding fresh layers of mystery and dread to the sequel.
