Clive Barker gave us Hellraiser and the Box! The box was the ultimate in channeling the demons that would come to tear you apart in order to give you the ultimate pain and ecstasy. Ever since the very first Hellraiser the box itself has remained the exact same in its design. In the latest re-imagination director, David Bruckner and the team decided to change the design of the box. The first time that it has been changed ever.
In a recent tease from the film’s score, we were given an unexpected tease of the new box. The main difference so far is the slightly open face. It has a bit of an organic side to it instead of the usual cold solid flat sides. It will be cool to see the other sides of the box.
We recently also got our first look at Jamie Clayton as Pinhead as well as a new cenobite named “The Mask.”
The synopsis for Hellraiser goes like this:
“The all-new “Hellraiser,” a young woman struggling with addiction comes into possession of an ancient puzzle box, unaware that its purpose is to summon the Cenobites, a group of sadistic supernatural beings from another dimension.“
Hellraiser arrives on Hulu beginning October 7.
