Stephen King is a constant critic of all things horror. If you go all the way back to Evil Dead, King was there to give the film praises. His latest praise goes to Guillermo Del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities on Netflix.
King took to Twitter to share his admiration for Del Toro’s latest anthology series.
“I strongly advise you to open Guillermo del Toro’s CABINET OF CURIOSITIES, starting tomorrow on Netflix. Scary, sinister, and beautiful to look at.” King Tweeted.
Later on, King took to Twitter again to Retweet Del Toro’s Tweet along with a message that once again praised the series with “Excellent scares”.
Del Toro’s series has dropped two episodes a night on Netflix. The series began with Lot 36 and dug into Lovecraft horror with Pickman’s Model and Dreams in Witch House.
The synopsis for Del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities goes like this:
In Cabinet of Curiosities, acclaimed Academy Award-winning filmmaker and creator, executive producer and co-showrunner Guillermo del Toro has curated a collection of unprecedented and genre-defining stories meant to challenge our traditional notions of horror. From macabre to magical, gothic to grotesque or classically creepy, these eight equally sophisticated and sinister tales (including two original stories by del Toro) are brought to life by a team of writers and directors personally chosen by del Toro.
You can find out what King is so excited about by heading over to Netflix and checking out the new series for yourself.
