It’s been over 40 years since Indiana Jones literally ran into our lives escaping that giant round boulder in his quest for the Chachapoyan Fertility idol. Next summer he’s back in, and in some scenes, the 80-year-old actor doesn’t look at day over 30.
In the new trailer for the upcoming Indy film, we see a retired professor Jones reserved to leaving his life of adventure behind him until an old friend appears to remind him of his roots.
Although there are really no details on the plot of this Indy entry (hype is an effective tool), in the trailer we get a glimpse of Jones doing what he does best: outrun the bad guys.
Harrison Ford returns as the legendary hero archaeologist in the highly anticipated fifth installment of the iconic “Indiana Jones” franchise, which is directed by James Mangold (“Ford v Ferrari,” “Logan”).
Starring along with Ford are Phoebe Waller-Bridge (“Fleabag”), Antonio Banderas (“Pain and Glory”), John Rhys-Davies (“Raiders of the Lost Ark”), Shaunette Renee Wilson (“Black Panther”), Thomas Kretschmann (“Das Boot”), Toby Jones (“Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom”), Boyd Holbrook (“Logan”), Oliver Richters (“Black Widow”), Ethann Isidore (“Mortel”) and Mads Mikkelsen (“Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore”).
The film is produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Frank Marshall and Simon Emanuel, with Steven Spielberg and George Lucas serving as executive producers. John Williams, who has scored each Indy adventure since the original “Raiders of the Lost Ark” in 1981, is once again composing the score.
