Rob Zombie May Bring us ‘The Munsters’ Reboot From Universal

Rob Zombie is a bit of a wild card. From House of 1000 Corpses to 31, Zombie has been a force to be reckoned with and a total point of division among fans. Rob Zombie is a self-professed The Munsters fanatic. He even lent his voice to a recent commentary for The Munsters blu ray commentary track. The dude, even owns a custom hot rod named Dragula modeled after The Munsters vehicle. Well, now it’s rumored that Zombie will get behind the wheel of The Munsters production.

We are certainly hoping that this rumor is true. Zombie is scheduled to head to Budapest later this year for production according to Murphy’s Multiverse. Already, Zombie has cast his regulars in the roles of The Munsters fam. Beginning with wife Sheri Moon Zombie as Lily Munster, Jeff Daniel Phillips to play Herman. In addition Daniel Roebuck, Richard Brake, Jorge Garcia and Cassandra Peterson are also set for unknown roles in the film.

Now, we can’t 100 percent be sure that this is a reality as of yet. Zombie nor Universal Pictures has confirmed as of yet. We are certainly hoping that this is true. However, for now we are having a hard time imagining the sorts of characters Zombie writes all fitting withing a PG or PG-13 film.
