Quibi is getting ready to close its exclusive offer for a free three-month trial period and it’s giving potential subscribers a glimpse at their content without them having to download the app.
The coronavirus pandemic may have seriously hindered the mobile model Quibi was trying to roll-out. The short-form content platform has some of Hollywood’s biggest names contributing projects, but with people laid up at home the portable aspect of the service may not have gained much interest with subscribers.
The start-up has released episodes of Most Dangerous Game, The Stranger and Dummy on its YouTube page which has been mostly used as a teaser and trailer catalog.
Although the platform hosts titles that are episodic, they are only giving viewers the first chapter and asking that they subscribe to see the rest.
Horror fans might want to check out The Stranger, it’s included in the YouTube preview.
