Over the course of this week, the interwebs saw a picture of what looks like Beetlejuice 2 appear. The image features Michael Keaton as Beetlejuice administering a shot of “truth serum” to a helpless victim. While we aren’t one hundred percent sure if this is an AI render or if this is an actual leak, it definitely has caught our eye.
The guy in the white shirt seen off-screen to the left that is being given the shot, is none other than Justin Theroux who has been seen on set in other set photos wearing that same shirt. Again, of course, AI could render this with no problem. But, there is still that good chance that we are looking at Michael Keaton in Beetlejuice makeup after multiple decades of absence.
The synopsis for Beetlejuice went like this:
After Barbara (Geena Davis) and Adam Maitland (Alec Baldwin) die in a car accident, they find themselves stuck haunting their country residence, unable to leave the house. When the unbearable Deetzes (Catherine O’Hara, Jeffrey Jones) and teen daughter Lydia (Winona Ryder) buy the home, the Maitlands attempt to scare them away without success. Their efforts attract Beetlejuice (Michael Keaton), a rambunctious spirit whose “help” quickly becomes dangerous for the Maitlands and innocent Lydia.

Warner Bros. Discovery Inc. has been actively removing videos from YouTube featuring this specific photo, citing copyright infringement. The reason behind this action is unclear; it could either be due to the photo being an unauthorized leak from the film set, which is the most probable scenario, or because it’s an artificial intelligence-generated fake that the company wishes to suppress.
