Remember the Morgan Freeman movie Dreamcatchers (2003) when it was implied that the parasitic monster in that movie exited the body through the rear? Well, the movie Hell Hole isn’t leaving anything to the imagination and in the trailer, we see the creature’s seemingly preferred port of entry…and exit. All in glorious practical effects!

The movie’s tagline spells it out just in case you need more explanation: “Watch Your Ass.”

Hell Hole will make its premiere at the 2024 Fantasia International Film Festival before it heads to Shudder on August 23. It comes from the production team called The Adams Family, a filmmaking family headed by writer/directors John Adams and Toby Poser, under the creative marquee of Wonder Wheel Productions.

The film also boasts special practical effects from award-winning artist Todd Masters (Tales From the Crypt, Slither) and his MasterFX team.

This creature feature follows, “an American-led fracking crew working deep in the Serbian wilderness find themselves at odds with government assigned environmental advisors. When they get approval to drill, the workers uncover the unimaginable: a dormant parasitic monster entombed deep in the frozen rock. Now awakened, it tears through the mining facility in search of the perfect host.”
